Appendix K: Custom Features

Need to deploy an application that requires specialized features? We can help. In most cases, should you desire a custom feature for your application, it will need a dedicated voice server in order for us to enable it for you. What follows is a listing of the more commonly sought after features that Voxeo has to offer..

TargusInfo

The TargusInfo service is a third party software offering used for name and address capture via voice input, or via an address lookup service, based upon an inbound caller ID value.  This add-on service is available for free testing (50 free transactions) after signing an End User License Agreement. This service is available in a production capacity with a monthly minimum commitment, and a per-transaction fee using one of two offerings:
Additional details on the functionality of the  TargusInfo Services are available at their website below:

Note that specific details on the costs associated with using this service are available by contacting the Voxeo sales Team

ASR & TTS Packages

The hosted Voxeo evolution site offers a number of alternative recognition engines and text to speech offerings for the VoiceXML 2.1 platform for customers who desire support for non-English languages. We allow our US customers access to test these offerings on a per-request basis at no charge, but deployment in a production capacity requires a dedicated port purchase from the end user (note that alternate ASR/TTS is available at no extra charge for our customers in the UK).

The languages that we have currently tested against are listed in the below link; should you wish to get pricing for one or more of these languages, or if you wish to leverage a TTS or ASR offering not listed, it is suggested that you contact sales@voxeo.com for availability and pricing details.

VPN

A Virtual Private Network service for collocated, or managed server access is available as an add-on feature when launching in a production capacity.  Be aware of the fact that this is billable on a per-tunnel basis, and customers should plan for a maximum of one month lead time in order to enable and configure access.

For pricing, contact Voxeo Sales.

SSL

Usage of Secure Sockets layer services (“https”) for  sensitive application content is a service that utilizes resources of the Voxeo network, and is a billable service when launching in a production capacity.  Of course, you are always welcome to test out your SSL certificates in our staging environment.  It is highly recommended that prior to enabling this service, that you confer with Support to ensure any certificates purchased from a third-party vendor are supported on our network.  Also note that SSL services should be used only where necessary, as it is considered wasteful to reference non-sensitive resources, (such as most audio files) via https.

Call Recording

Need to capture all aspects of your IVR traffic?  Call recording is a great option!  <voxeo:recordcall> will record both sides of the call until you tell it to stop at the application level.  Recordings will then be pushed to your evolution account within minutes! It is important to note, when running your traffic in a production capacity, call recording is a billable feature.

Trunk-to-Trunk Transfer

Voxeo's Trunk-to-Trunk Transfer feature ("Trunk-to-Trunk Transfer") provides the ability for Applications to transfer inbound calls to alternate locations without requiring callers to hang up and redial.  After the transfer, a "release link" action will occur such that the Voxeo Voice Center will drop out of the call following transfer completion.  Basic Service Fees do not continue once the transfer has completed.

Our Voxeo Sales team will be happy to discuss pricing options with you, should you be interested in this feature.
